Auckland Landscape Designer, Kirsten Sach Landscape Design Ltd

Well the weather is so beautiful today, just perfect to get out and about and take a look around your garden. Now is the time to start looking for a landscape designer to get some landscape plans completed, so that the garden can be built prior to xmas time.
Its hard to even think of going outside when the weather is stormy as it has been in auckland over the last  couple of weeks... but if you are looking get plans this is the time of year to get something organized.
Have a look at my main website which shows how the whole design process works:

Auckland Landscape Designer, Kirsten Sach Landscape Design Ltd

Gardens are important on so many levels as they not only offer sanctuary & privacy... trees shade you from the sun, shrubs absorb storm water, a productive garden can keep the pantry replenished with seasonal vegetables all year round... and a well designed landscape not only improves the look of your home but increases the value of your property.
As an Auckland based Landscape Designer storm water is a big issue with many suburbs dealing with heavy clay soils. Working in this area of garden design can  have it's challenges, but there are always solutions such as raised gardens, incorporating compost and gypsum to the clay. Clay soils can also be a good thing as they hold a lot of nutrients.
I have included some photos below of gardens that have been designed by Kirsten Sach Landscape Design, and that are on clay soils.
Most have had a lot of compost incorporated into the clay or raised slightly and there are many options open to the garden designer in terms of dealing with this issue.

Here are some photos of recent landscape design projects.
